Today at a antique show I found a strange little box. My guess it is a tobacco box made for the Dutch market in the late 18th or 19th century. It may have been made in the Dutch colony of Indonesia. It is 16 cm long, 8.5 cm wide and 6.5 cm high.... made of cast brass about 1 mm thick. The brass alloy is sort of whitish in color showing a low copper content.
Do any of you agree or disagree this is what this is? Have you seen similar examples? I really don't know and neither did the man that sold it.
Thank you, Bill
